go on, familiarise yourself with a few of my potential facial expressions...
I'm a Brighton-based digital-leaning multidisciplinary Designer, I've worked in Fashion and the Digital Signage market as well as Freelance and self-initiated projects. Currently principal Digital Designer for a leading UK cancer charity. Dabbler in Photography, Video and Illustration, Skill sets include Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash, Premiere and Dreamweaver. Web stuff i hand-code HTML and CSS, dabble in jqery, javascript, php and wordpress. I also blog, tweet, ramble, doodle, and fidget. One careful lady owner.
Web and interactive design has always intrigued me because of the added dimension of interactivity. I design pages in Adobe Illustrator to get the look and feel right, then depending on what's required, translate that into hand-coded HTML and CSS, or into Flash using ActionScript 3.0

I've been interested in the moving image for a long time. I edit and composite in adobe After Effects, Premiere, and Flash. Initially, i was composing from stills, animating illustrations and type, but through learning both photography, and motion graphics I'd been editing and learning about video, and had dabbled in filming but always lacked the funds for video equipment of my own. I'm now shooting on a Nikon d5100 DSLR and a mix of lenses, and loving the ability to create cinematic high-def video to my own requirements.

I've been an enthusiastic, if a little experimental and haphazard photographer since i got my first SLR camera aged about 15. in part as a tool for documenting the things i do and enjoy, in part as a way of sharing the beautiful things i see around me.
I started out with an old Centon DF-300 printing my own black and white ilford film and paper, then eventually moved to a nikon d60. currently using a nikon d5100, sigma lenses, and an incredibly elderly nikkormat ft-3 and pre-ai micro-nikkor 55mm medical lens.

Despite primarily focussing on digital projects now, i'm a traditional designer at heart. I started out designing logos by hand, and magazine layouts from the grid up and i've never really fully kicked the habit. logo designs from my head via paper, pens, computers, and everything in between. layouts in Indesign, Illustrator and photoshop.

exploration of 'home'
Sometimes, I draw for a purpose. a lot of the time, that purpose is to kill time, usually on trains. some of it is horrible, beautiful, profane or disturbing. i use whatever comes to hand, sometimes mixed media, digital, a badly chewed biro, sometimes it's on canvas, other times in the margin of one of my many unfinished note/sketch books. i make NO apologies for anything you find in here. never apologise, never explain.
